I've been AWOL from the blog -- since Christmas things have been off kilter, from Mom being sick in the hospital, to me with bronchitis, to some stuff that is going on at work that is not bloggable for me, but difficult and I ask your prayers for all involved.
IN addition, I have pondered about going back to Blogger -- I am trying to justify paying for this blog -- I am trying to see the advantage of using Typepad over Blogger. I don't want to lose my years of blogging on here and transferring them seems to be something that would be near to impossible (and if there is a way, let me know).
Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday. As a lay person, it snuck up on me. Lent is not my liturgical season of choice. In fact, I really wish that we didn't have Holy Week all crammed into a week. It's too much.
I've been Facebooking quite a bit. I've connected with those who I haven't seen in a long time. And for those I do know, I have connected in a way that I can keep up with them on a more personal level.
For Lent, I will attempt to be more intentional on my blog, in some way every day. it may be a personal note, some music video that speaks to me or a Lenten message.
I like your Lenten discipline. I've considered it myself, especially in the absence of Facebook!

My prayers are with you also. Sometimes knowing that you can't talk about something just makes dealing with it harder somehow.

Welcome back, though I've noticed you on Facebook. (Which I'm limiting to twice a day during Lent, how quickly we can become addicted!) My Lenten discipline is to be more intentional about intercessory prayer, and your work issues and Mom are on my list now. (By the way, I see it's 45 degrees where you are. It's 11 here. Counting my blessings because I have power, there are thousands nearby who still don't).

I've missed your blogging, but know you've been on Facebook. I'm sorry to hear that work is a difficult place at this point in time. Having that on top of your mom's illness can't be easy. You're in my prayers.

Missed your blogs. If you're going to be more intentional here does that mean you're giving up Facebook for Lent?

Thank you all for prayers... they mean alot.
No, not giving up Facebook for Lent! There are too many local people on FB that I know that I keep up with their lives. It allows me to pray for them and to know some of their needs.. and.. I have a virtual farm to take care of... :)
