Kind of a few busy weeks -- Mom is mending and we return for another appointment to the doctor tomorrow. Hopefully we will get a good report that the antibiotic has done its job.
After 14 years, my paraprofessional is student teaching and her daughter in law is her substitute while she is on leave. Talk about feeling out of sorts! I am sure she will do a great job, but she is/was my right hand and so I am having to regroup. After having someone in the same room for half of your career, I knew it would be an adjustment.
And it is.
I know you folks up north think it is hilarious when we think it getting down to the teens is frigid when you all are having even colder weather, remember we are not equipped to handle the cold!
I am trying to start reading again after about a month hiatus. Hopefully I can get into blogging also --- ever feel a dry spell???
Bundling up for a cold couple of days here -- what are your plans for this weekend?
I have a number of things to catch up on around the house, and I hope to get to a nearby town for some supplies I need. Otherwise, I need a relaxation time. This has been sort of a down time for me this week for some reason. It has been very cold and dry, and that usually bothers me until I can get home and near the humidifier.

Since our temps are expected to remain rather cool, I think I might just cocoon away in my house for the long weekend!

Yes, it is near 20 below here! Brrr! And the dog will still need a walk anyway. We are also hoping to go to the UU church's "coffeehouse" tonight to hear a well-known regional storyteller. Sunday we have breakfast before church, always fun and tasty, and I'll be back in church for the first time in a month (this church that is). Other than that my temptation is to cocoon also, reading and attending to some household projects. Glad your mother is doing better. It's hard to get used to a new co-worker, isn't it?

Refinishing a desk for son's room. Staying warm.

I do chuckle a bit when my southern friends "feel cold." Especially when I headed to work at -22° and this morning it's a balmy -8°. But I give thanks that I have a warm house and warm clothing to protect me.
By the way I gave you an award over at my blog!

Hi Cathy! It's cold again! :) Thought of you and your wonderful knitting - are you making something very, very warm??

Hi, cathy - I was reading some of your earlier blogs and found the moebius piece you made. Which Cat Bordhi book are the instructions in? I really, really need to make one of these. I have some sari scraps which were swept up and spun into yarn, also some neat black to cut the intensity of the wild colors.
Lets go to the beach. weaverwoman
Ps - this is me and not Mary Beth. Don't know how to fix this. mj

Anything below freezing is cold, cold, cold to me! I'd have trouble handling temps in the teens!
