I think this is going to be a blips and dots post....
- A coworker passed away after a valiant battle with breast cancer. She has now gone to be with her Maker. She will be missed.
- I am trying diligently to feel and observe Advent with my body and soul. (and mind). It's not easy. School is packed with "how can be make this season be merry with as much stuff as we can pack into a couple of weeks, plus there is so much we can do and it is is the end of the semester and the children are all worked up because tis the season to be jolly, and oh if we could complete these activities because it is the season and let's not forget the Christmas program ... and.. and.. and... get the picture???
- Knitting gifts. My loving family... hear this.. you may get a ball of yarn as a gift for that incomplete project, but I am going as fast as I can.
- Several people I have reconnected with on Facebook, one I haven't had contact with for 40 years. How's that!
- Seven more school days before we are out for the Christmas holidays.. but who's counting?
- Not going to make my 50 books total for 2008. I'm ok with that. Sort of.
- And what are you up to this week/month? Let me know you visited.
You and I are just too busy. Let's go get some spiked eggnog and a pedicure! Wanna?

You're just as busy as I am! You get out of school a lot earlier though. We're in school through Dec. 23rd. We go back later than usual though - we don't go back til Jan. 5th. We usually go back on the 2nd, but someone took pity and decided not to send us back on a Friday!

I am certainly with you on the school, except high school students don't have much in the way of Christmas programs. The interval between Thanksgiving holiday and exam week is entirely too short this year to accomplish what we need to accomplish. Due to the wisdom of our state legislature, the first semester is four entire weeks of instruction shorter than the second. That is very significant if you teach a one-semester course, but, after all, actual education is not what it's about, is it?

Oh, I say this month I am just trying to maintain.I have three out of the four that know what Christmas is REALLY about. So, I am up to my eye balls in christams "junk". I loved talking with you this morning really, I should do that more often!

We are preparing to go to my home state of Missouri for one month (fortunate to be able to get away that long!). So I'm not spending my time decorating or baking, really--just stopping the newspaper, arranging for someone to get the mail, planning the logistics of getting our cats ready for the trip--things like that.
And I'll get to see my new great nephew, born yesterday!

Great to read you! I'm sort of refusing to acknowledge THE CHRISTMAS MACHINE but must take some steps soon...or there will be no decor at the party next week. :) No cookies at Lessons & Carols! Eek!
But I'm grateful to have maintained a little bit of calm.
However, my office will move to a new building over the hols so that is kind of nuts...

You sound so busy! Hope you have some time to enjoy the season! Sid just got home from four months of training in preparation for next year's deployment. We're saying "no" to a lot of things and just taking it easy with the family...making memories since he'll be in Iraq next Christmas!

I'd like to comment, but I don't have time.

Well, Christmas gifts are completed and the mailers were sent off today. Feeling much more low stress than usual but spending my time trying to find a job and forgetting to remember to take it one day at a time. That's always been so hard for me. I hope I can continue to slow down and enjoy this season. You're almost to break and I know you've earned it!

To be honest, I always though 50 books in a year was nearly too much--that is almost a book a week!! I know you did very well, even though you may not have met your goal.
I don't understand the whole Facebook thing. I have thought about doing it, but I am sort of afraid of doing it!

i've been wondering where you have been!

I visited! Surely hope to see you this summer. It may be my swan song for St. Teresa and I'd hate that. I hope we even get there. Be well and blessed. MJ

We're taking it really easy this year. So easy that we're celebrating Hanuka instead of Christmas. The exhusband is Jewish, so we feel entitled.
