Well.. there is a mushroom convention in my front yard. I bet there are at least 5 different kinds of mushrooms scattered in my front yard. These were the most photogenic of the bunch.
In other news, as of this moment, our local college is closed because of Tropical Storm Fay, but not the local school system. Wish they would be on the same page and do it jointly, but alas, they do not.
Just saw on the news that McCain could not answer how many homes (well, they are probably just HOUSES and not homes) he and his wife owned. Turns out there are seven. Mercy, how many does someone need? According to the news, Reagan owned two homes, Clinton owned 0, Nixon and Bush own/owned 1.
I, for one, own one home, and feel very rich and fortunate.
Those are some pretty fungus flowers! Bet you can't eat them though!
Poor McCain. All those houses. And the housing market in such a slump. He's probably lost some money. :p

ah but how many houses do you own?
Oh I love the first picture of the fungi. Beautiful! (but alas not edible!)

Those red ones scare me. I've NEVER seen a mushroom like that. It looks more like a tomato.
Ewwww.

I vote that the mushrooms are beautiful!
and that none of these politicians are in touch with the real lives of American people. Not one of 'em.

Those mushrooms with the red tops are the strangest ones I've ever seen! We've just bought our first house and I'm almost 40. What do people do with more than one? How "homey" can they be??

Cathy, it was just a joke... but you'd made a distinction between house and home in your post so I couldn't resist.
blessings xx and love (and a grin)

The top ones look like little red Smurf houses! We've got the darn things growing all over our yard too.
I hope Fay does not give you too much trouble.
