And in all places, I was washing my hands in the ladies' room in the hospital after visiting with a friend. I turned around and as I was leaving, a woman walked in - seeing my DOK cross stopped and said, "Is that a Daughters of the King Cross?" I said, yes it is, - are you a daughter? She replied, "A long time ago in a different place, then moved and they didn't have a group." A few more questions exchanged and found she had just moved to the area (not in our hometown, but in an area where the Daughters of the King has a visible presence). I left the restroom and waited outside with a friend, also a DOK'er and waited to finally get contact information. Anyway, you meet daughters in the most interestingly places! I can't help but think of the lines in the hymn "I Sing a Song of the saints of God":
You can meet them in school, or
In lanes, or at sea the loo,
In church, or in trains, or in shops, or at tea,
I never claimed to be a poet....
Hee hee! Go Cathy!

"I sing a song of the saints of God..." is one of the most favorite songs of my BBS (beloved bearded spouse) who was and is and evermore shall be Episcopalian...
