My mom gave us two planters for Christmas. They are the same ones that the previous owners had and they took them with them. I wanted the same one. I have one flanked on each side of the door. In the planter are snapdragons, pansies (on the way out because of the heat) and then some unknown plant in the front, that I bet my master gardener friend can identify.
ANYWAY, while watering these plants, I would occasionally see what I thought of as good trash - something a bird brought. And I would also occasionally see a bird fly from the planter. Didn't give it much thought, but figured they were pretty happy.
Happy they were... because.... lo and behold.... new life....
Went to eat at a sandwich eatery for knitting over the state line - Got through eating the meal when one of my good friends looked at me and said,
"Your shirt is inside out"
Yup, that's me. Attention to detail.... not so much.
Well, I did guesstimation and if I am close in that, I believe I have eaten all my points by lunch time.
I did, however, earn 6 points in my workout.
I'll take a bow for both of those above accomplishments.
Working my way through the weekly and activity points now.
A true need and want has come twice this week
for which I am truly thankful.
I've almost forgotten what it's like to have a soaking rain like this and it looks like it's going to go on all day. And...it's even on a day which if I wanted I could stay inside, but I do need to go and exercise and visit a one of my friends who reads my blog and is in the hospital with a hip replacement.
A few other thankfulnesses I would like to share:
I'll keep it at ten, but am ever mindful that it is a sampling of the many blessings I have in my life.
Can you share a thankfulness or blessing today?
It was a rainy all day today and I just want you all to know this:
You know how cold rainy days are days that you would like to read a book and take a long nap? Preschoolers don't have that mindset... yet.
I bought myself a birthday present yesterday - totally geeky - I don't know where my other pedometer is so I decided to purchase this one. It transfers your data to your computer with your steps and miles walked. It's a geek's play toy. It's a Pocket Pedometer with Advanced Omron Health Management Software.
Will let you know more about it when I get it. Do you use a pedometer?
It was about as nice as Christmas as one could want....
While we were eating in the dining room, my college daughter's dog decided to feast on all the GOOD CHEESE we had left on the coffee table. He left the olives.
That special mango ginger cheese? HISTORY
