In memory --- may light perpetual shine upon him.
I could listen to him forever. He will be dearly missed.

I listened to a good part of La Boheme conducted by Von Karajan, Pavarotti singing. Oh such beauty. I bet the angels and archangels and all the company of heaven kept quiet to hear him sing this day...

I have never liked opera. Never understood the rapture that opera lovers experienced.
But Pavarotti, oh my Pavarottie, he made opera accessible to the opera challenged, like myself.
His voice, his talent was a miracle. ANd thank the good Lord that it was shared as widely as it was.
I truly hope that he enjoyed his life as much as I enjoyed listening to him sing.

Presbyterian Gal, I know what you mean - the love of opera eludes me, though I do have select pieces of opera I love.
Pavarotti's voice was as close to perfection as it gets!

That beautiful voice...What can I say? He will be missed.
